Storyline:
In Knowhere, the Guardians are attacked by Adam Warlock, who nearly kills Rocket. The Guardians enter Orgosphere, with the Ravagers and 2014-Gamora’s assistance, to retrieve Rocket’s file in order to find a cure and save his life. They barely escape with the file, with Drax and Nebula suffering injuries, but are unable to open it. They track down Theel, one of the High Evolutionary’s scientists, figuring he has the passcode stored in memory.
The Guardians visit Counter-Earth, despite Gamora’s warning of a trap. Ayesha and her newborn son Adam Warlock capture a Ravager and his pet Blurp and tries to interrogate him of the Guardians’ whereabouts, but an unhinged Warlock disintegrates him before they can ask more questions. The Sovereign intercepts a message from Gamora asking a Ravager outpost for pick up and follows the Guardians to Counter-Earth.
Groot, Nebula, and Quill track down Theel’s location. Nebula is refused entry for being a weapon herself. The High Evolutionary’s captures Groot and Quill and sends a pig to the Guardian ship to retrieve Rocket. Gamora protects Rocket, but Adam Warlock arrives and kills the pig since he needs Rocket to save his own race, while Groot and Quill fight the High Evolutionary and his men using weapons hidden inside Groot.
