Storyline:
In its earlier seasons, ‘Flames’ primarily focused on adolescent romance and character development. Season 3 took a realistic turn, exploring the characters’ maturation and their struggles to harmonize relationships with professional aspirations. Season 4 seamlessly picks up from its predecessor, honing on the evolving dynamics of two couples – Rajat (Ritvik Sahore), Ishita (Tanya Maniktala), Anusha (Sunakshi Grover), and Pandu (Shivam Kakar) – as they grapple with the challenges of their final year in school, attempting to strike a delicate balance between studies and love while facing the uncertainties of the future.
The series adeptly captures the tension between family expectations and personal aspirations, portraying the dilemmas faced by students in choosing their careers. Although not fast-paced, the story unfolds realistically across five 30-minute episodes. The last two episodes, in which parents have heart-to-heart conversations with their kids about ‘learning from their failures,’ are emotionally charged.
