STORY: Good Bad Girl follows Maya Ahuja, a mischievous girl who always lies and will go to any length to get what she wants in life.
REVIEW: Good Bad Girl, directed by Abhishek Sengupta and created by Vikas Bahl and Chaitally Parmar, depicts Maya Ahuja aka Bulbul’s deceptive life, and how she walks the line between truth and lies with ease. Maya’s life is portrayed in three different timelines: as a little child (beautifully performed by Aradhya Ajana), as a law student in Pune, and as a lawyer working in Mumbai. Conceptually speaking, this tale of twisting the facts is unique and interesting, yet the lackluster screenplay cannot make you care about her. The basic premise of this nine-part series is that life is not always black and white, and that lying occasionally to get what you want can be advantageous. This has stayed with the protagonist since her childhood, and she is willing to go to any length to achieve her goals.
